Mining for ancient debris

593K–1.78M coins/hrVIA AH · LIVE

TNT mining for ancient debris is the classic DonutSMP netherite method. Ancient debris is blast resistant, so blowing up the nether between Y 8 and Y 22 exposes it without destroying it. Much of the nether near spawn has already been mined, so travel further out or use pre-blasted areas that others gave up on. The terminal subtracts the TNT cost per debris found so the coins per hour figure is a real net number. Bring fire resistance, a good pickaxe, and expect the rate to swing a lot depending on how fresh the chunks are.

How to do it

What you need
  1. Go to the nether and pick an area between Y 8 and Y 22 that has not been mined out.
  2. Dig a long tunnel and place TNT every few blocks, then light it and step back.
  3. Walk the blast tunnel and mine every ancient debris the explosion exposed.
  4. Smelt debris into netherite scrap and craft ingots, or sell the debris directly to the buy order.
