Farming cows for leather is one of the best beginner money makers on DonutSMP. A fenced pen, a stack of wheat and a Looting III sword are all you need. Each cow drops up to three leather with Looting, plus beef you can cook and sell. Leather feeds the bookshelf and book market, so the buy orders are steady. It has a lower ceiling than kelp or bone farms, but there is no build cost and you can start in your first hour.

How to do it
What you need
Wheat- Looting III sword
- A fenced pen
- Build a pen and breed cows with wheat until it is packed.
- Kill the adults with a Looting III sword for up to three leather each.
- Keep breeding pairs so the pen refills.
- Sell leather to the standing buy order or list on /ah, and sell the beef as a bonus.
