Strip mining for ancient debris is the no-cost version of netherite hunting on DonutSMP. You do not need TNT, only a decent pickaxe and fire resistance. Tunnel at Y 15 with branches every third block and mine each debris you expose. It is far slower than TNT mining and heavily mined regions yield very little, so head to fresh chunks. It is a good starter method because it costs nothing to try and every debris you find is pure profit.

How to do it
What you need
Netherite Pickaxe- Fire Resistance potions
- Blocks to bridge lava
- Tunnel at Y 15 in the nether. Y 115 above the netherrack ceiling also works if the lower layers are picked over.
- Branch every third block so you see the most blocks per tunnel.
- Mine every ancient debris you uncover and keep a lava bucket or blocks ready for pockets.
- Sell debris to the buy order or smelt it into netherite scrap.
